FIND OUT MORE…
PHASE 1: ADVENTURE
Ultimate Adventure Centre (North Devon) – bunk houses
Escot/Dartmoor – tented village
In phase one, it’s time to challenge yourself! Living with your new team mates at one of our residential locations, you’ll get to know some amazing people, enjoy some quality time away from home and take on a range of adrenaline-fueled activities.
If you stay at the Ultimate Adventure Centre you will get the chance to take on activities such as total wipe out assault course, laser tag, high ropes, coasteering, surfing and rock climbing.
For those of you who stay at Escot, you will experience survival camping, shooting exercises, river crossings, first aid, mud runs, abseiling and more.
PHASE 2: SKILLS
RESIDENTIAL LOCATION: In phase 2, young people will stay at one of two residential locations.
Marwell Activity Centre (Safari style tents)
Rookesbury Park School, Wickham (Dormitories)
Marwell Activity Centre is one of the South’s leading outdoor and indoor activity centre with 30 years experience. The camping village offers the highest standard of new safari style tents. Rookesbury Park School is a stunning Grade II listed building and a former stately home nestled in secluded countryside. Onsite catering will be provided at both sites.
Now is your chance to discover something new! You’ll be reunited with your team mates at either Marwell Activity Centre or Rookesbury Park School. You’ll develop life skills like self confidence, leadership and communication to boost your CV or UCAS personal statement. Each day you and your team will participate in different workshops which could be based on any of the following:
Coaching & Leadership, Media & Film, Performing Arts, Carpentry, Public Services
You never know you might discover something new about yourself. Maybe you’ve got a hidden (or not so hidden) passion for photography, editing, football coaching or (even how to set up your own business!)
PHASE 3: SOCIAL ACTION
LOCATION: College Site
In phase 3 It’s time to make your mark! This is where your NCS experience all comes together. All the fun and inspiration from the first two phases means you’re ready to step up and deliver your very own social action project that will make a difference to your local area.
You and your team have the power to change the world around you. Whether you’re a thinker or a doer, this is your chance to make a difference, have some amazing stories to tell and be part of something you’ll never forget!
Previous projects have included charity gigs, quiz nights, festivals, sponsored walks, garden renovation, fashion shows, football tournaments and much more.
